Toils and triumphs

Heart and soil

Acea rosea. This one is probably Creme de Cassis

I garden in England’s most easterly county which means breezy, hot summers and, in winter, drying winds with a bitter edge.

My Gardeneast blog shares my experiences of gardening on poor, sandy soil in an area with (usually!) the lowest rainfall in the country.

A huge range of plants seem perfectly happy here. Bees and butterflies love it too as we are free of pesticides and chemical fertilisers.
